Poety masterclass to kick off Arrran's McLellan Arts Festival

  • Don Paterson will kick off the festival with a poetry masterclass

The McLellan Arts Festval of theatre, music, arts and poetry gets under way in Arran on Saturday 4th September, with a poetry mastercalss by Don Paterson starting the event at Brodick Library.

The final event of the festival is 'Messiah in a Day' on Saturday 11th September - when singers will take on the challenge of putting on a performance of the show from scratch in just a day. The choirs will be hard at work from 9.30am in Brodick Church, with their day of rehearsals concluding with a performance of the show at 7.30pm.
