I love Arran because of Lochranza castle with it's walls, passages and battlements.

Weird Noises At Lochranza Castle

One day Pete Tomskihn was having a fight with his brother Blair. “You stink!” Blair shouted at Pete. “Yea well so do you!” retaliated pete. “Grrr,” growled Blair and he kicked Pete up the backside. “OWWWW!” Pete picked up Blair and dropped him on the floor. “I’m telling!” shouted Blair. Blair got off the floor and stomped downstairs. “Oh gosh I wish I could get away from my brother,”Pete said out loud. “Maybe I could run away.” “But where to?” “Maybe Alaska or even better Lochranza castle.” Pete grabbed a rucksack and put in some clothes, a blanket and a pillow. Then he raided the biscuit tin. “All set.” Then he opened the window and stepped out. Then he remembered there was no window ledge and he fell and winded himself. He got up after a while and ran towards Lochranza castle. He got to Lochranza castle at about midnight. Warily he stepped inside. He found a sheltered place to sleep. He turned his torch and read a book. It wasn’t very long until he heard a noise. “BAAAAAAAA.” “BAAAAAA.” Pete was frightened out of his skin. “W-whose th-there,” he said. “BAAAAAAAAAAAA.” There was the noise again. “Ghost,” he thought to himself. Pete pulled the blanket up over his head and tried to get to sleep but the noises kept him awake. “BAAAAAAA.” He spent the rest of the night listening to the noises. In the morning he found out the noises were sheep. “How silly am I?” He headed back to his house and he went to see his brother. “Sorry I hurt you,” said Pete. “I’m sorry I hurt you as well,”replied Blair.
